Position Details:
RN-ICU- Globe, AZ
Location                         : Globe, AZ 85501
Project Duration        : 13-week contract
Shift                                  : 12 hr days
 
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The RN will be responsible for providing critical care nursing services to patients with complex and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, including vital signs, diagnostic results, and clinical progress.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established policies and standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-care instructions.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, ensuring adherence to infection control and patient safety standards.
• Float to Med-Surg units as needed, providing support based on staffing and patient care requirements.

 
Requirements:

• Current and active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of recent ICU nursing experience preferred.

 
Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage high-acuity patients.
• EMR: Meditech 6.0 experience preferred.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience floating to or working in Med-Surg units.
• Prior travel nursing experience (if applicable).
