About the Facility:
Client is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists.
 
Job Summary:

• The Laboratory Supervisor oversees technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and daily operations in assigned areas/shifts to achieve organization and regulatory requirements.
• Your role supervises personnel, processes, service levels, regulatory compliance, and service levels in assigned areas.
• Functional areas of responsibility for your role may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing and specimen referral testing.
• You will perform technical and non-technical duties in assigned areas of responsibility as required.
• You will be responsible for achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, personnel management, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities in areas of responsibility.

 
Qualifications & Education:

• Current State of Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor General License required (LICENSE MUST BE IN HAND TO BE CONSIDERED)
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience as Medical Technologist
• Prior Supervisory experience preferred
• Licensure in 3 technical specialty areas preferred
• Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with all co-workers, staff, patients, patient families and vendors
• Proficient computer skills, i.e. ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, and other programs for creating reports
• Medi-tech experience preferred
