Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to ensuring safe and positive birth experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, including contractions and fetal heart rate
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures
- Administer medications, IVs, and epidurals as prescribed
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
- Recognize and respond to complications or emergencies (e.g., fetal distress, hemorrhage)
- Prepare and maintain labor and delivery rooms and equipment
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum [5] years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required
- Fetal Monitoring Certification – Preferred
- STABLE Certification – Preferred
