Java Automation- Philadelphia, PA

Location : Philadelphia, PA

Project Duration : 6 months

Job Summary:

• We re seeking a Software Automation developer to join our team, which is responsible for developing automation scripts against Client experiences. Client is an affordable and innovative smart TV developed by Comcast in collaboration with Hisense, Element, and other OEM partners. This has an integrated interface and voice remote to access customer's favorite live and on demand streaming content from hundreds of apps and services. We are primarily responsible for working alongside with the QA, Product, and Development teams in the Philadelphia office to produce high quality entertainment applications.

Core Responsibilities

• Write automated tests (feature files) using Cucumber automation tool
• Write step definitions (executable JavaScript methods) at the unit, services/integration, and UI layers of the software
• Collaborate with the Automation team to translate E2E regression test cases into automation scripts
• Work with the development and product management teams to understand new requirements and fix regression/sanity tests
• Analyze and automate REST web services called by the application for display of data and error handling
• Automate and execute (in every release) new features, performance scripts to measure speed, reliability and resiliency of the software

Attributes for Success

• 2-4 years of experience working with automation of applications using Cypress
• 1+ years of experience working with Cucumber automation framework
• Cucumber is mandatory
• 1+ years of experience with JavaScript
• Working experience with GIT Version Control System
• Any experience working with CICD tools
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate and participate in technical architecture meetings with other Software Engineers in Philadelphia
• Working knowledge of JIRA and knowledge of Agile ceremonies.
