RN - Acute Rehab - Peoria, IL
Location                          : Peoria, IL, 61605
Project Duration         : Fulltime / Permanent
Salary                               : $32/hr. - $49/hr. (based on years of experience)
SOB                                   : Up to $20K
 
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of licensure. The RN collaborates with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care across the continuum. This role involves assessing and supporting patients’ physical and emotional needs, providing compassionate care to patients and families, mentoring team members, and upholding professional and ethical standards at all times.
 
Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, evidence-based nursing care in alignment with professional standards and state board of nursing requirements.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Lead and coordinate care delivery to achieve optimal patient outcomes and ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensuring care needs are met and that the care environment promotes dignity and respect.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately according to the skill level of team members.
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
• Mentor and support new staff members, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
• Promote financial stewardship by managing resources effectively without compromising quality of care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and comply with all hospital policies and safety protocols.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and remain current on best practices, regulatory standards, and clinical guidelines.

 
Required Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois or Michigan (as applicable)
• Certification: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start date

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience: Previous experience as an RN in a rehabilitation or similar clinical setting
• Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and MS Office applications
