Eligible for relocation
 

• Daily management of patients getting ready for OR, IR, and endoscopy.
• FTE 35, will have 3 Charge RN
• Need to have pre-op experience

Client is a full-service hospital located in central Austin, Texas. This 300+ bed facility features a 24-hour emergency department, the regions largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the internationally-renowned Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute and Client's Neuroscience & Spine Institute. The full scope of services provided at Client includes cancer care, heart and vascular care, imaging services, joint replacement and orthopedics, women's services, complex surgical services, and a Bariatric Surgery Center. The facility is home to a 60+ bed rehabilitation hospital providing both inpatient and outpatient comprehensive care.
Client is part of St. David's HealthCare, which is one of the largest healthcare systems in Texas and the third-largest employer in the Austin area. Client was formed through a unique partnership between Client and two local non-profits Client's Foundation and Georgetown Health Foundation.
 
Job Summary and Qualifications

• The Nurse Manager is a working manager, who is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Surgery Center/Pre- Admission Testing Clinic
• You will oversee the planning, directing and controlling of the staffing assignments in accordance with objectives and policies to insure effective coverage of the department, and maintain productivity targets.
• You will plan and direct staff activities
• You will participate in unit activities/operations.
• You will create and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• You will develop a professional climate within the nursing unit/units. You will participate in unit activities.

 
What qualifications you will need:

• 3+ years of relevant experience required
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory/charge nurse position in surgery/day surgery
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Registered Nurse license in Texas. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• BLS & ACLS
