Position Details:
CT Technologist- Carbondale IL
Location                           : Carbondale IL 62901
Project Duration          : 13 weeks
Pay range                        : $57-$60 an hour
Shift                                   : Variable
 
Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable CT Technologist to join our imaging team on a weekend schedule. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality computed tomography procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and excellent customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
 
Schedule:

• 36-hour weekend shift
• Friday / Saturday / Sunday schedule
• On-call rotation required
• On-call averages approximately 1 week every 4 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Operate CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and quality control
• Maintain patient records and documentation within electronic medical record systems
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Follow radiation safety standards and infection control policies
• Provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography required
• CT certification preferred, if applicable
• Active state licensure as required
• BLS certification required
• Previous CT experience preferred

Technical Skills:

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred
• Familiarity with Merge PACS systems preferred
• Experience operating Siemens CT scanners preferred
