Position Details:
Medical Lab Technician (MLT) - Scottsbluff, NE
Location                            : Scottsbluff, NE
Project Duration           : 13 weeks
Shift                                    : Evenings 4x10s - 12:00-8:30 with fluctuation due to staffing needs Every other Sunday
 
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our client’s healthcare team on a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, ensuring quality and accuracy in accordance with established standards and regulations.
 
Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing across multiple disciplines (hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, etc.).
• Prepare specimens, operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Accurately record, interpret, and report test results in compliance with CLIA, CAP, and facility standards.
• Ensure quality control, proficiency testing, and adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and other laboratory personnel to support patient care needs.
• Participate in maintaining laboratory inventory, supplies, and documentation.
• Adapt to workload fluctuations and provide coverage for evening shifts, including every other Sunday.

 
Requirements:

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by a recognized certifying agency (ASCP, AMT, etc.), or eligibility for registry as an MLT.
• Must meet CLIA ‘88 testing personnel requirements.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, instrumentation, and quality assurance practices.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Flexibility to work evening shifts and weekends as scheduled.
