Position Type                 : On-Site
Sign on Bonus                : $10,000 - ½ paid with 1st check, and 2nd half paid at 1 year anniversary

Job Summary and Qualifications:

• You will assume responsibility for facilitating safe, efficient and therapeutically effective care for patients in the emergency room (main) and freestanding EDs of Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center. Leadership for the main and freestanding EDs is shared by two (2) Managers.
• You will promote clinical initiatives, patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities and act as a resource and assists in problem solving and conflict resolution when necessary
• You will evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and services, and collaborate with the management team and physicians for improving patient outcomes
• You may also work as a Registered Nurse in the capacity of House Supervisor in addition to being a clinical nurse in a variety of areas within the hospital based upon knowledge, skills and abilities
• Southern Hills also has 2 FSEDs (12 Beds Each)
• Main ED – 30 Treatment Areas, Accredited Chest Pain Center, Cardiac Alert Team, PEDS Express Emergency Care, Certified Primary Stroke Center, and Hypothermic Treatment Capabilities
• Psych ED, HBED, and LV HBED

 
What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required- Associates Degree Required, BSN Preferred
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada; CPR, ACLS, PALS
• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a leadership role in an acute care hospital preferred

Prefer psychiatric nursing experience as a registered nurse; Demonstrated experience in leadership/management and establishing interpersonal relationships necessary to promote an effective working environment.
