We have Contract role Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist for our client at Janesville, WI. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist- Janesville, WI
Location                    : Janesville, WI 53548
Project Duration   : 13 weeks
Shift                             :  Day shift with 1-2 call shifts per week and 1 weekend per month
 
Position Summary
The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist functions as an integral member of the cardiovascular procedural team, assisting physicians and nursing staff during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This role supports Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology (EP), structural heart, and vascular procedures by maintaining sterile technique, monitoring procedural data, ensuring radiation safety, and providing direct patient care before, during, and after invasive procedures.
 
Job Duties:

• Verify package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies. Prepares patient and equipment for utilization of sterile technique. After procedure, prepares equipment/supplies for sterilization.
• Monitors and records all procedural data and maintains procedural event logs.
• Provides patient comfort while familiarizing him/her with the equipment and supplies needed for the procedure. Applies the necessary monitors and prepares access site(s) including the necessary sterile drapes.
• When scrubbing into a procedure, uses sterile and aseptic technique as required for infection prevention.
• Advocates for radiation safety and protection for self and coworkers. Wears personal radiation dosimeter and takes necessary precautions to limit/minimize patient and staff exposure.
• Documents fluoroscopy time and radiation doses and evaluates reports to determine if values are within established safety limits.

 
Education

• Graduate of accredited radiology program

 
Certification / Licensure

• ARRT(R) required
• BLS required
