Registered Nurse - Operating Room-Atlanta GA
Location                            : Atlanta, Georgia, 30303
Project Duration           : 13 weeks
Shift                                    : 10hr/ Days- 6:45am-5:15pm
 
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care during surgical procedures, ensuring safety, efficiency, and collaboration with the surgical team. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterile and available.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, anesthesia, and overall condition throughout procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
• Document patient information, assessments, and care provided accurately in medical records.
• Support patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education programs.

 
Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license State-specific or Compact License.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with experience.
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience; prior Operating Room experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
