We have Contract role CT Technologist for our client at Chico, CA. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
CT Technologist- Chico, CA
Location                           : Chico, CA 95926
Pay range                         : $68-$71 an hour
Project Duration          : 13 weeks
Shift                                    : 12-hour, 0700, 1000, 1900 start time, weekend rotation is required.
 
Job description:
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations and related diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and regulatory standards. The technologist ensures patient safety, provides compassionate patient care, and collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform CT imaging procedures while maintaining high standards of image quality and patient safety.
• Operate CT imaging equipment and related technology according to established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for examinations, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
• Administer contrast media as appropriate and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic medical record system.
• Follow radiation safety practices and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report malfunctions according to department procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of current imaging techniques, technology, and best practices.

 
Required Qualifications:

• Current Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the applicable state licensing authority.
• Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Fluoroscopy Permit, where required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent CT imaging experience.
• Previous experience operating CT scanners; experience with GE imaging equipment preferred.
• Prior successful completion of travel assignments or contract healthcare assignments.
• Experience using Epic electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and CT imaging protocols.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a high-volume acute care hospital setting.
• Experience working in trauma or emergency care environments.
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and workflows.
