Position Details:
Mammo Tech- Edwards, CO
Location                    : Edwards, CO 81632
Project Duration   : 13 Weeks
Salary                         : $60/hr. - $66/hr.
Shift                             : Days 4x10s
 
Job Summary:
Performs breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and assists with breast ultrasound biopsy. Follows MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of breast anatomy, pathological conditions, and safe administration of radiation
• Review patient requisitions for accuracy, clinical diagnosis, and demographic information
• Operate mammography and stereotactic equipment and follow imaging protocols
• Perform procedures requiring contrast agents and sterile techniques
• Conduct and document quality control per MQSA and ACR guidelines
• Educate and communicate with patients before, during, and after procedures
• Review breast imaging exams for technical accuracy and present completed exams to the radiologist
• Communicate pertinent patient information following procedures
• May perform radiographic examinations according to protocol
• Schedule breast imaging appointments and coordinate continuity of patient care
• Assist with departmental workflow and ensure accurate patient charges
• Organize, monitor, and order medical supply inventory
• Participate in breast health education and organizational events
• Assist in orientation and training of new employees and healthcare professionals
• Maintain 24 CEU credits every two years according to A.R.R.T. guidelines
• Maintain current CPR certification
• Must be HIPAA compliant

 
Experience

• 1 year of experience preferred
• Healthcare experience preferred

 
Licenses & Certifications

• ARRT with Mammography (M) required
• BLS certification required
