We have Contract role Senior Mechanical Engineer-Remote for our client at Calabasas, CA. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
Senior Mechanical Engineer-Remote- Calabasas, CA
Location                          : Calabasas, CA 91302 (Remote)
Project Duration          : 12+ Months Contract
Pay Rate                           : $ 80 - 95/hr. on W2
 
***Ideally, the candidate would be located in the Calabasas area however, the manager is open to having a remote candidate but they MUST be available to work 8am - 5pm PST daily***
 
Description:

• Develop state-of-the-art IP test products
• Design mechanical and thermal system solutions, includes sourcing off-the-shelf parts
• Simulate and design thermal solutions
• Work with suppliers to resolve DFM/DFA concerns
• Validate designs, obtain quotes, build and test prototypes

 
Requirements:

• BS degree in Mechanical Electrical Engineering with 6+ years relevant experience required
• Proven track record in product development from concept to production
• Strong design skills, analytical problem solving and attention to detail
• Experience designing complex electro-mechanical systems & thermal management solutions including liquid cooling
• Knowledge of sheet metal, machined parts, plastic and extrusion fabrication methods
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SolidWorks; familiar with ANSI drafting standards
• Ability to excel in a fast paced dynamic environment
• Excellent verbal and written English skills and ability to work in small teams required
• Competent with hand and bench tools
• Experience with SolidWorks Flow Simulation a plus
• Knowledge of networking/data center equipment a plus
• Knowledge of HALT testing a plus
