We have Contract role Nuclear Medicine Technologist for our client at Bridgeport, CT. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist- Bridgeport, CT
Location                           : Bridgeport, CT 06606
Project Duration          : 13 Weeks Contract
Salary Range                  : $60/hr - $65/hr
Shift                                    : Day shift
 
Job Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials to evaluate organ function and structure. The technologist ensures accurate imaging, patient safety, and regulatory compliance while delivering compassionate patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and safety guidelines.
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (e.g., bone scans, PET, cardiac stress tests, thyroid studies).
  • Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras, SPECT, and PET scanners.
  • Position patients correctly and monitor patient condition during procedures.
  • Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness before submission for interpretation.
  • Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles to protect patients, staff, and self.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in imaging systems and EHR.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform quality control checks on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Educate patients on procedure preparation and post-procedure safety instructions.
  • Assist physicians during therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures when applicable.
  • Maintain clean and safe imaging environments.
  • Participate in continuing education, quality assurance, and accreditation activities.
 
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Certification:
    • CNMT license
    • BLS
  • Experience:
    • Prior nuclear medicine experience required
    • Epic Experience, GE 850, Cardiac, PET, General NM, Sectra PACS, NucTrack.
