Position Details:
RN-Med Surg Unit -Fort Defiance AZ
Location                           :FortDefianceAZ86504
Project Duration          : 13 weeks
Pay range                        : $55-$57 an hour
Shift                                   : 12-Hour Day Shift.
 
Job description:

• Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients.
• With EXCELLENT Staffing Ratios: Non Covid: typically 4:1, max 5:1. Covid patients: typically 2:1, max 3:1.

 
Required Certifications:

• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS. and PALS is required.

 
Experience:

• Three (3) years of med-surg experience, 1 year pediatric experience required, MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH BOTH ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS.

 
Setting:

• 20 bed medical surgical unit for adults and pediatrics

 
Shift:

• 12 hour Day Shift, but must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends and holidays, as needed.
• In addition to inpatient, may be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed.
• Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings.

 
Housing:

• Information can be found under the 'Facility Group Document’ section.

 
Orientation:

• On Mondays only - If your traveler misses the compliance deadline, they will be pushed to the following scheduled New Employee Orientation.

 
Other:

• Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work.
• This could include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting or could be task-oriented such as answering call lights, phones, etc
