Nuclear Medicine Technologist- Richmond, VA
Location : Richmond, VA 23225
Project Duration : Direct Placement/Permanent/Fulltime
Relocation : Case by case basis
Sign On: Up to $15K available to qualified applicants
Introduction:
- Client Center is comprised of two HCA Healthcare hospitals — Client Hospital and Client— located less than six miles apart in Richmond, Virginia
- Client Hospital is a 466-bed acute care facility with services such as a Level I trauma center, women's services, pediatric care, and more.
- The hospital has earned many awards and accreditations, like recognition as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission. Staff members say CLient Hospital is a fun, productive place to work with lots of opportunities to learn.
Job Summary and Qualifications
- Perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures.
- Order, prepare, calibrate, store and administer radiopharmaceuticals for routine and on-call procedures.
- Perform quality assurance on cameras and various instruments.
- Operate various radiation detection devices.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. Meditech, PACS and Syntrac).
- Ensure proper charges are entered and physician orders are verified.
- Computer processing.
- Perform quarterly inventory of radioactive sealed sources.
- Participate in maintenance of departmental records, manuals and inventory.
- Perform decontamination procedures.
- Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the department.
- Answer phones, greet patients, physicians, and the public.
- Completes and maintains educational requirements.
Experience
- Minimum of one year as a nuclear medicine technologist
- However, Will Take New Grads*
Education
- Graduate of AMA approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology. ARRT-N or CNMT licensed. Continuing education as required for licensure.(Required)
Licensure/Certification: (required)
- Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
- Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider
SHIFT: Full-Time Days Mon-Fri - ON CALL ($3/hr)
