Job Description:
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing technical assistance to the surgeon and circulating nurse during surgical procedures. The role involves ensuring a safe, sterile, and well-organized environment for all surgical cases. The technologist prepares operating rooms, arranges equipment and instruments, and assists in maintaining aseptic conditions throughout the surgery.
This position requires flexibility for varied day shifts and includes an on-call component to support emergency or urgent procedures.

Job Description:
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for providing technical assistance to the surgeon and circulating nurse during surgical procedures. The technologist prepares operating rooms, arranges equipment and instruments, and assists in maintaining aseptic conditions throughout the surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment required for surgical procedures.
- Assist the circulating nurse and surgeon during operations by anticipating needs and passing instruments or supplies as required.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Ensure all equipment and instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and functioning before and after each procedure.
- Support pre- and post-operative activities, including room turnover and equipment inventory.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient safety and efficiency during procedures.
- Adhere to all hospital, state, and federal safety and compliance regulations.
Qualifications:
- Less than 1 year of related experience required.
- Certification or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
