Position Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small-parts imaging.
- Ensure proper patient positioning, equipment settings, and imaging techniques to obtain optimal results.
- Review patient histories and communicate effectively to explain procedures and address concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation and upload images to the PACS system.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to support accurate diagnoses.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and in safe working condition.
- Comply with all hospital, departmental, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain patient privacy and uphold professional standards in all interactions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Associate degree or accredited certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification (or eligibility).
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred:
- Experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging department.
