Job Summary:
The Emergency Room RN provides rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment to patients with acute illnesses or injuries in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The RN must be skilled in triage, emergency interventions, and critical thinking to deliver timely, life-saving care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on severity
- Provide immediate care for trauma, medical emergencies, and critical conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Assist with procedures such as intubation, defibrillation, and wound care
- Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately and in real time
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum 1–2 years of Emergency Room experience Required
