.We have Contract role R&D Hardware Design Engineer for our client at Calabasas, CA. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
Position Details:
R&D Hardware Design Engineer- Calabasas, CA
Location : Calabasas, CA - 91302
Project Duration : 6+ Months of contract
Pay rate: : $90 an hour on W2/-
Job responsibilities.
- Design electro-mechanical assemblies, machined parts, sheet metal component parts and corrugated/foam packaging
- Define mechanical constraints for PCBAs
- Perform tolerance stackup analysis
- Create fabrication drawings, parts lists and assembly drawings
- FEA and thermal analysis
- Source off the shelf components
- Interface with suppliers and Keysight operations to address DFM & DFA issues
- Assemble and validate prototype assemblies
- Create change orders in Agile MRP system
- Attend project team meetings
Skills:
- Proficient with Solid works 3D CAD and simulation tools
- Possesses understanding of sheet metal fabrication and machining
- Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams
- Experienced with GD&T
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
- Basic knowledge of PCB fabrication and design guidelines
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator a plus
- Experience with Agile a plus
