Location                            : Beverly, MA 01915
Project Duration             : 13 Weeks/Contract
Salary                                : Up to $51/Hr. (based on years of experience)
Shift Timing                     : Days
 
Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (also known as a scrub tech or operating room technician) is responsible for assisting in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. This includes preparing the operating room, arranging equipment, and helping doctors during surgeries. The technologist ensures a sterile and organized environment to promote optimal patient outcomes.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
• Ensure all necessary supplies and surgical tools are sterilized and ready before procedures.
• Assist the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and other sterile supplies.
• Maintain the sterile field and follow infection control practices throughout the procedure.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after the operation.
• Handle specimens taken for lab analysis.
• Clean and restock operating rooms after surgeries.
• Communicate effectively with team members to anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgeon and patient.
• Maintain proper documentation and adhere to safety protocols and hospital policies.

 
Qualifications:
 

• DaVinci robotics proficiency required.
• NBSTSA Certification Required Current BLS Required Previous travel experience preferred Potential night and weekend call Beverly Hospital OR
• BILH Coversheet Required
• COVID Vaccines + Booster required at time of submission (declinations not accepted).
• Local candidates not accepted
