Project Duration : 13 weeks
Shift : 8-Hour Shift (Monday through Fridays, 07:30-16:00 less 30-minute break) plus on-call required approximately one overnight per week and approximately one weekend per every 5
weeks.

Job Description:

The PACU RN is responsible for continuous patient assessment, monitoring, pain management, and ensuring a smooth recovery process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients during post-anesthesia recovery.
- Manage airways, monitor vital signs, and identify anesthesia-related complications.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management therapies as ordered.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff.
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition or emergencies.
- Maintain patient safety and comply with infection-control and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent PACU experience required.
- Must have current, specialty-specific (circular) experience in the role being applied for; additional experience may be required depending on facility needs.
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
