We have Contract role EA-DE IT O-Oracle SQL Team Developer-Remote for our client at Brea, CA. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
EA-DE IT O-Oracle SQL Team Developer-Remote- Brea, CA
Location                         : Brea, CA (Remote)
Project Duration        : 2 months of contract
Pay rate                          : $55- $60 an hour on W2
 
Description Of Services:

• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
• Knowledge of Oracle DB backup/restore and retention practices
• Optimize and reorganize database partitions for performance
• Expertise in Oracle partitioning and tablespace management
• Experience with performance tuning and storage optimization
• Coordinate database maintenance windows (minimize downtime)
• Understanding of database scheduling and job control
• Ability to assess system usage patterns (Tableau, MDM jobs) to find optimal maintenance times
• Support cloud migration of data warehouse systems
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouse platforms (e.g. Snowflake/Azure/AWS Redshift)
• Data migration and validation techniques (comparing source vs. target data sets)
• Validate data and troubleshoot discrepancies between systems
• Advanced SQL for data comparison (ETL verification)
• Knowledge of Oracle DB backup/restore and retention practices
• Manage scheduled jobs on Linux servers (cron) and scripts
• Proficiency with Linux OS & shell scripting
• Experience with cron job management and linking SQL/ETL scripts to scheduled tasks
• Debugging skills for script failures and scheduling issues (log analysis, timing adjustments)
• Collaborate in agile team environment (daily stand-ups, etc.) - Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with Agile/Scrum processes and tools (e.g. daily stand-ups, task tracking)

 
Deliverables:

• Process Flows-Mentor and Knowledge transfer to client project team members
• Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility
• Participate in data conversion and data maintenance
• Provide best practice and industry specific solutions
• Advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions
• Provide thought leadership as well as hands on technical configuration/development as needed.-
• Participate as a team member of the functional team-Perform other duties as assigned.
