Job Summary
A Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Job Summary
A Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The technologist ensures patient safety, image quality, and proper equipment operation while maintaining professional standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (X-rays; may assist with CT, MRI, or fluoroscopy depending on facility).
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and accurately.
- Ensure proper radiation protection for patients, staff, and self.
- Review and evaluate images for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Follow physician instructions and imaging protocols.
- Maintain and clean imaging equipment.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Graduation from an accredited radiography program.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (or equivalent national certification).
- State licensure (if required).
- CPR/BLS certification Required
- Minimum one year of experience
