Position Details:

Location                            : Newport, VT 05855

Project Duration           : 13 weeks

Pay range                        : $50-$57/Hr on W2

Shift Timing                    : Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room (OR) Circulator RN to join our surgical team. The OR Circulator RN is responsible for coordinating patient care in the operating room, ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment. This role involves close collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to deliver high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

•         Serve as the primary patient advocate in the operating room

•         Perform preoperative assessments and verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure

•         Ensure all surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies are prepared and available

•         Maintain a sterile and safe operating environment in accordance with infection control standards

•         Coordinate and communicate effectively with the surgical team throughout procedures

•         Monitor patient condition during surgery and document intraoperative care accurately

•         Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping

•         Manage surgical specimens according to protocol

•         Ensure accurate documentation of surgical procedures and patient records

•         Participate in post-operative care and patient transfer to recovery units

Requirements:

•         Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)

•         Minimum 1–2 years of Operating Room experience (Circulator experience preferred)

•         BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

•         ACLS certification preferred

•         Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety standards

•         Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
