Job Description:

• The RN – Medical/Surgical is responsible for providing safe, competent, and compassionate nursing care for patients admitted to the medical/surgical unit.
• The nurse works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and professional nursing standards.

• Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse (RN) and be at the forefront of coordinating exceptional patient care for adult and pediatric patients.
• Your expertise will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care in the dynamic general Med/Surg unit.
• Collaborate with a talented group of professionals and lead them to meet the unique needs of our diverse patient population, all while utilizing the innovative Nursing Process to make critical decisions.
• We prioritize holistic care, ensuring that patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs are met with compassion and proficiency.
• You will be accountable to the Unit Director and work closely with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during your shift, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
• To join our team, you must have at least three years of acute care experience, with preference given to candidates familiar with Meditech.
• A current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure, BLS (American Heart Association), and ACLS certification are required prior to start.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [state/country].
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with equivalent experience acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills.
