Location                            : Scottsbluff, NE 69361
Project Duration           : 13-week contract
Shift                                    : Nights 5p-5a
Job Summary:
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in Labor & Delivery, NICU, and circulating responsibilities, providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
 
Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and recovery, ensuring safety and comfort for both mother and newborn.
• Function as a circulating nurse in the operating room for C-sections and assist with delivery procedures.
• Perform scrub duties for C-sections as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret data, and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Provide immediate newborn care and stabilization, especially for high-risk or NICU-level infants.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Administer medications and treatments, following all safety and clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and families regarding labor processes, newborn care, and postpartum recovery.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patient care.

 
Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• NICU experience REQUIRED (heavy NICU background strongly preferred).
• Experience in circulating for labor and delivery procedures.
• Scrub, pediatrics, and NICU experience strongly preferred.

 
Certifications required:

• ACLS
• NRP
• BLS
