We have Contract role Mammographic / DEXA Technologist for our client at Pagosa Springs, CO. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
Mammographic / DEXA Technologist- Pagosa Springs, CO
Location                           : Pagosa Springs, CO 81147
Project Duration          : 13 Weeks Contract
Salary Range                  : $65/hr - $70/hr
Shift                                    : Day shift
 
Job Summary
Client is ideally looking for a tech with experience using Hologic’s Selenia Dimensions 3D Mammography system as well as preferred experience with QC/QA and maintaining FDA/ACR records. We will cross train them to perform DEXA scans using GE’s iDXA system so please include this in the posting if possible.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal images while ensuring patient comfort and dignity.
• Operate mammography equipment and adjust technical factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Apply radiation safety principles and comply with MQSA, state, and federal regulations.
• Review images for quality and completeness before submission for radiologist interpretation.
• Educate patients about mammography procedures and address questions or concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the imaging system/EHR.
• Prepare and maintain mammography rooms and equipment; report equipment issues promptly.
• Assist radiologists with breast procedures as needed (e.g., needle localization, biopsies).
• Participate in quality assurance, audits, and continuing education to maintain certification.
• Follow infection control, HIPAA, and patient safety policies

 
Qualifications

• Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification:
  • ARRT Mammography (M) certification required or obtained within required timeframe.
  • State licensure as required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience:
  • Mammography experience required.
