Project Duration : 13 weeks
Pay range : $65/hr – 70/hr
Shift : 3, 12's with shared evening and weekend call
Position Summary
The Radiologic Technologist is a licensed California Radiologic Technologist who functions under the general supervision of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging. This role performs a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures to support the diagnosis and treatment of disease, fractures, and medical abnormalities in accordance with physician orders. The Radiologic Technologist demonstrates proficiency across multiple imaging modalities, including Radiology and CT, while adhering to all federal and state regulations governing Diagnostic Imaging services and Critical Access Hospitals.

Position Summary

The Radiologic Technologist demonstrates proficiency across multiple imaging modalities, including Radiology and CT, while adhering to all federal and state regulations governing Diagnostic Imaging services and Critical Access Hospitals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations in all assigned modalities, including Radiology and CT, with proficiency.
- Demonstrate knowledge of imaging equipment operation, patient positioning, and image optimization.
- Produce consistently high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing patient radiation exposure.
- Provide age-appropriate patient care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety considerations.
- Position patients appropriately to ensure optimal imaging results.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability for assigned duties.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, and files for all imaging modalities.
- Ensure patient and resident confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain safe working conditions and observe all departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor imaging equipment and respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, including notifying leadership and contacting service personnel as needed.
- Ensure imaging areas are properly stocked with supplies and organized efficiently.
- React quickly and effectively during emergency situations or adverse conditions.
- Assist with patient scheduling, answering phones, and supporting departmental workflow as needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including participation in weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.
- Share call and work schedules equitably within the department as assigned.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations applicable to Diagnostic Imaging services.
- Practice strictly within the scope defined by the California State Board of Radiology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program with an Associate of Science degree.
- Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required.
- ARRT certification preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Experience in at least two imaging modalities required.
- Experience in a freestanding diagnostic imaging facility may substitute for acute care experience.
