Project Duration : 13 weeks
Pay range : $42-$45 an hour
Shift : 4 - 9 Hour shifts -Days scheduled between 6:45 am to 4:15 pm, + call rotation
Job description:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical procedures, with a focus on orthopedic cases, and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
• Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and functioning
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
On-Call Requirements:
• Must be available for on-call rotation
• Ability to return to the facility within 45 minutes when called in
Qualifications:
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Proven experience in an operating room setting
• Orthopedic surgical experience required
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
