Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) will primarily provide patient-centered care on the 4 South Cardiac Unit, with occasional floating to other Medical-Surgical units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders. The RN will deliver safe, evidence-based care to patients with complex cardiac and telemetry needs, while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Description:
Position Summary:

The RN will deliver safe, evidence-based care to patients with complex cardiac and telemetry needs, while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac and telemetry monitoring needs.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care.
- Float to designated Med-Surg units as assigned to support patient care needs.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, medications, and discharge plans.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications – required.
- Epic EMR proficiency – required (no refresher training or 1:1 assistance provided).
- Minimum 3 years of current/recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown units.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to float assignments across multiple Med-Surg specialties.
