Job Description:
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused General Sonographer Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound waves to produce images of organs, tissues, and blood flow within the body. The role requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture accurate and high-quality images.
• Review and evaluate images for clarity, quality, and diagnostic value.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during examinations, explaining procedures clearly and answering questions.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance guidelines.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and report malfunctions as needed.

 
Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or equivalent certification required.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Minimum 1 years of experience as a General Sonographer preferred (new graduates may be considered).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and patient care skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
