Position Details:
Epidemiologist -Nashville TN 
Location Nashville,TN(Hybrid-remote)
Project Duration       :12+months contract
Pay Rate                      : $30/hr. to $36/hr. on W2
 
Job Overview
The Epidemiologist 1 will be responsible for professional scientific and epidemiological assessments of considerable difficulty for the Community Health Access and Navigation in Tennessee (CHANT) Initiative. This is a contract position.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enhancements to the CHANT data collection project
• Build and maintain RED Cap data collection modules to support programmatic requirements
• Assist with CHANT program integration into a new data system
• Prepare routine reports of program participation and outcomes for internal and external partners
• Implement SAS code changes and RED Cap project changes as monitoring guidance evolves or processes change
• Provide technical assistance to non-technical staff regarding RED Cap systems and SOP/task guidance
• Write independent code and test outputs for accuracy
• Pull, clean, and submit recurring CHANT reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly)
• Support surveillance projects and create data outputs and visualizations for CHANT data
• Respond to data inquiries and provide CHANT data information to regional teams, leadership, stakeholders, and public health partners
• Fulfill ad-hoc data and analysis requests
• Translate programmatic requirements into appropriate data collection systems
• Work remotely and attend the Nashville office monthly or as needed

 
Education Requirements

• Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Statistics, Health Information, Health Science, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Candidates with a Master's degree in Health Science, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science, or a related field must have at least 2 years of experience in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or Environmental Sciences.

 
Other Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of RED Cap
• Proficient in managing electronic data and navigating complex databases
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated customer service and teamwork experience
• Proficient in statistical software programming, including SAS
• Foundation in system design, analysis, and evaluation

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with public health and health data such as vital records or health survey data
• Experience in deployment or implementation of application systems or related fields
