Operating Room Technologist- Hermiston, OR
Location : Hermiston, OR 97838
Project Duration : 13 weeks
Shift Timing : Day Shift | 40 Hours per Week 11:00-19:30
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technologist to join our Surgery Department for a full-time, 13-week assignment. This role is based in a new, clean, and modern facility located in rural northeast Oregon. The ideal candidate will have strong operating room experience and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures
- Anticipate surgeon needs and respond quickly during operations
- Ensure proper handling, counting, and disposal of surgical instruments and supplies
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transport as needed
- Follow hospital policies, safety guidelines, and infection control standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room Technologist experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction or supervision
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or equivalent) – Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – Required
