Position Details:
ED RN- Cody, WY
Location                           : Cody, WY 82414
Duration                          : 13 weeks
Shift                                    : 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
 
Job Description:
Critical Access - ED RN needed. Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the Emergence Department treating all ages and all types of causes.
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) provides high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with urgent, emergent, or life-threatening conditions.
 
Responsibilities:

• Perform rapid, accurate patient assessments and triage based on acuity and established protocols.
• Initiate and implement emergency interventions, including CPR, airway management, IV access, wound care, and medication administration.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and diagnostic results, responding promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer treatments, medications, and procedures according to provider orders and ED standards.
• Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during high-stress or emotionally charged situations.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs.
• Advocate for patient rights and ensure privacy, dignity, and cultural sensitivity are maintained.
• Work closely with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, respiratory therapists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate patient care across departments for diagnostics, admission, or transfer.
• Participate in trauma activations, code situations, and rapid response events as needed.

 
Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific).
• CERTS: Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC
