Project Duration           : 13 weeks
Shift                                    : Day Shift
 
Job Summary:
A Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The technologist ensures patient safety, operates imaging equipment, and produces high-quality radiographic images while maintaining proper radiation protection standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays and other radiographic examinations as prescribed by physicians.
• Prepare and position patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images.
• Operate radiologic equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed for patients, staff, and self.
• Review images for clarity and accuracy before submitting to radiologists.
• Maintain patient records and imaging documentation.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to reduce anxiety.
• Assist radiologists during specialized imaging procedures when required.
• Maintain and check imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Follow hospital policies, infection control guidelines, and patient confidentiality standards.

 
Requirements:

• Required ARRT Registered, Maine RT Licensure, BLS Certificate.
• Fluency in the following are preferred: Bone Density; Fluoroscopy; C-Arm; CT and Portable Radiology preferred with 2+ years of solid hospital experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
