We have Contract role Med Surg RN for our client at Tuba City, AZ. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
Med Surg RN- Tuba City, AZ
Location                    : Tuba City, AZ 86045
Project Duration   : 13
Shift                             : 6:30A-7P, currently 3 shifts per week but may transition to 3 one             
                                         week, 4 the next week.
 
Position Summary
The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to individuals across the lifespan. The RN independently performs a variety of nursing procedures, requiring sound clinical judgment, a strong understanding of patient conditions and treatments, and adherence to established standards of care. Responsibilities include executing physician orders, coordinating patient care, and supporting patients and families throughout the treatment process. The RN functions within the guidelines of nursing policies, departmental procedures, and hospital standards.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivers safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions in an acute or sub-acute setting.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments, identifies clinical changes, and implements appropriate interventions.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocols.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Monitors patient status, including vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic reports, reporting significant changes to the physician.
• Provides patient and family education on disease processes, medications, discharge plans, and follow-up care requirements.
• Documents all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Maintains patient safety through adherence to regulatory standards, infection control practices, and hospital policies.
• Participates in unit quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Provides support during emergencies, responds appropriately to codes, and follows established escalation procedures.

 
Experience Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care or sub-acute facility (required).
 
Licensure and Certifications
Candidates must hold and maintain the following throughout employment:
• Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, U.S. territory, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association (required)
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) – must be completed within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – must be completed within 6 months of hire
