Position Details:
Med Surg RN- Havre, MT
Location                    : Havre, MT 59501
Project Duration   : 13 weeks
Shift                             : Shifts may rotate-12 hour shifts
 
Position Summary
The Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to adult patients in an acute care setting. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while adhering to hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage patients with complex medical conditions, including isolation precautions.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical/surgical patients in an acute care environment
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
• Monitor patient status, document care accurately in EPIC, and communicate changes promptly
• Manage patients requiring isolation precautions, including COVID-19, Monkey pox, and other isolation types
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and ancillary staff
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards
• Provide patient and family education related to diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning

 
Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience
• Active, unrestricted RN license
• EPIC experience required
• Ability to work independently and manage a fast-paced patient care environment
