Project Duration          : 12 weeks
Shift                                   : Night Shift
 
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department. The ER RN utilizes critical thinking, clinical expertise, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with acute and emergent conditions.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Performs patient assessments, care planning, interventions, and evaluations in accordance with standards of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state practice laws.
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family education, as prescribed by the physician and/or department policy.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely in accordance with standards of care.
• Applies critical thinking to ensure patient safety and positive patient experience; escalates concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Participates in departmental or unit performance improvement initiatives, including shared governance activities.
• Engages in professional nursing development, unit practice decisions, and peer review processes.

 
Qualifications

• Prior Emergency Room or acute care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive in high-acuity situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

 
Licensure & Certifications (Required)

• Active Wisconsin (WI) RN Licensure
• Flu vaccination
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
• TNCC or TNS (either required)
