Mammographer - Shelton CT
Location                           :Shelton,CT
Pay range                       :$61-$64anhour
Project Duration          : 13 weeks
Shift                                    : AM (08:00 - 04:30)
Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mammography, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to perform both screening and diagnostic breast imaging procedures while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols.
• Operate mammography imaging equipment and ensure optimal image quality for accurate interpretation.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures while providing compassionate care and clear instructions.
• Review patient histories and verify examination orders.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental policies.
• Document procedures accurately and maintain complete patient records.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to support patient care and diagnostic outcomes.
• Perform quality control procedures and assist with equipment maintenance as required.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

 
Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience.
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography [ARRT(R)(M)].
• Current state licensure, if required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience operating Hologic mammography equipment.
• Proficiency in performing both screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
• Strong knowledge of breast imaging protocols, patient positioning, and radiation safety practices.
