We have Contract role RN (PACU) for our client at Fort Defiance, AZ. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
RN (PACU) - Fort Defiance, AZ
Location                            : Fort Defiance, AZ 86504
Project Duration           : 13 weeks
Shift                                    :  8-Hour Shift (Monday through Fridays, 07:30-16:00 less 30-minute break) plus on-call required approximately one overnight per week and approximately one weekend per every 5         
                                                 weeks.
 
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented PACU Registered Nurse to provide safe, high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural sedation. The PACU RN is responsible for continuous patient assessment, monitoring, pain management, and ensuring a smooth recovery process.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients during post-anesthesia recovery.
• Manage airways, monitor vital signs, and identify anesthesia-related complications.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management therapies as ordered.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff.
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition or emergencies.
• Maintain patient safety and comply with infection-control and regulatory standards.

 
Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent PACU experience required.
• Must have current, specialty-specific (circular) experience in the role being applied for; additional experience may be required depending on facility needs.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
