We have Contract role Tele Tech for our client at York, ME. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
Tele Tech- York, ME
Location                            : York, ME 03909
Project Duration           : 13 weeks
Shift                                    : 2 - 12 hr shifts; 2 Day shifts 7:00 am to 7:30 pm - and 1 - 12 hour night 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.
 
Job Description:
Position Summary:
Essential Functions

• Maintains ongoing, high-level surveillance of patients’ cardiac rhythms and notifies nursing clinicians of any rate/rhythm changes according to clinician/provider orders.
• Collection of data necessary for placement of telemetry
• Measures and interprets patients’ heart rhythm and documents on patient record per department standards. of intervals for strip documentation
• Ectopy checks twice per shift
• Daily telemetry box maintenance
• Answers telephone and communicates clearly when receiving information from units or providers. Uses clear and complete communication with the unit personnel when delivering information about changes in patient rhythm.
• Accurate charging of telemetry, chart maintenance
• EKG procedures.
• The Monitor Technician maintains the highest standards of practice in the clinical setting and is responsible for creating exceptional patient/family experiences during the delivery of this care.
• Initiates and discontinues monitoring equipment on admission, transfer, or discharge. Performs configuration as necessary.  

 
Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful completion of York Hospital Clinical and Professional Development Dysrhythmia Course and EKG exam prior to completion of orientation.
• BLS certified
• Acquires and maintains ongoing education in the field of practice.

 
Experience

• Two years’ experience monitoring ECG/Dysrhythmia in a physician’s office, clinic, hospital, or similar setting required.

 
Specific Skills, Knowledge, And/Or Competencies

• Knowledge of basic anatomy /physiology of the heart.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clinicians, and the general public.
• Ability to work under moderate pressure for extended periods of time.
• Ability to accept responsibility for accuracy and response times to emergent and non-emergent requests.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
