Location                            : Cody, WY 82414
Project Duration           : 13 weeks
Shift                                    : Mid Shift 10:00am-20:00pm 4 days/week.
 
Job Description:
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our Critical Access Hospital team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage diverse patient populations, and the skills to respond to a wide range of emergency situations across all age groups.
 
Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess, triage, and manage patients of all ages with diverse medical conditions, traumas, and emergencies.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
• Accurately document all patient care in the EMR system (EPIC).
• Respond promptly to critical situations, applying advanced clinical knowledge and skills.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

 
Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience in an acute care or critical access setting.
• Licensure: Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility.

• Certifications (Required):
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

• EMR Experience: Prior experience with EPIC preferred.
