Job description:
 
Job Purpose:
Create, validate and integrate simulation models, develop test tools and module tests, define and automate test cases and procedures for the functional verification of brake control systems and sub-systems using simulation environments, such as Hardware in the Loop (HIL) and Software in the Loop (SIL), and assists testing and development of innovative products and functions using simulation models.
 
Responsibilities: 

• Plan, design and expand the existing software in the loop environment for electronic brake control systems.
• Develop tools and tool chains around the creation and execution of simulation models.
• Implement and validate simulation models and integrate them into complex system and vehicle models.
• Design, develop and implement test equipment for brake control systems and subsystems.
• Execute requirement analysis to research and develop efficient test procedures and methods to validate them.
• Distribute and support the implementation of robust testing procedures to the software (SW) or hardware (HW) teams.
• Lead the automation of complex testing procedures aimed to validate SW modules and models
• Setup SW validation plan for integration test along with SW release plan, winter test and production release test.
• Coordinate and manage SW validation plans with internal and external SW development and design teams.
• Perform and coordinate validation of development or production SW and HW using HIL, SIL or vehicle environments.
• Compile, organize and discuss test results with the SW design team and customer.
• Collaborate with HW and SW design team to analyze issues and to develop special verification test procedures.
• Design, debug and implement of HIL and SIL environments.
• Analyze ISO26262 customer Functional Safety (FUSA) requirements to support related activities including the creation of FUSA SW validation test plans, development of test cases and set-up.
• Comply with the automotive development process according to A-Spice and ISO, including documentation generation.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• Master degree in Engineering, preferably in the automotive field.
• 15+ years of automotive product engineering experience working in product development with OEM and with preferred focus on brake control components such, electric brake actuators and electrical parking brake.
• At least 10 years of experience in a SW test or related position.
• At least 5 years of experience in system simulation. 

 
Technical Competencies:

• Deep knowledge and experience of HIL Test equipment such as dSPACE (Scalexio/PHS), ETAS, Vector VT-System.
• Proficient with vehicle dynamic models such as CarSim, CarMaker or ASM.
• Capable of creating models of physical systems, connect them and update them using tools such as Simscape
• Skilled on model-based design with the use environments such as Simulink and analysis tools such as MATLAB.
• Programming experience with languages such as C, Python and VisualBasic.
• Must have knowledge of automotive network such as CAN, CAN-FD and FlexRay.
• Proficient with testing tools such as Vector CANoe (CAPL), CANape, CANalyzer, vTestStudio.
• Experience with automotive standards such as ISO26262 and A-Spice.
• Electrical Controller Unit of automotive system design and validation experience.
• Experience with Software in the Loop (SIL) development and testing.

 
Non-Technical Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, work well under tight timing and show great interpersonal skills for technical discussions with internal and external customers.
