Job Summary:

• The Nurse Manager is responsible for the 24 hour, seven day a week functions of a clinical nursing unit(s).

 
What you will do in this role:

• Administers, plans and evaluates the activities of the department(s) to ensure quality patient care.
• Develops goals, policies and procedures, prepares and submits operating and capital budgets, participates in multidisciplinary QI teams, consults with staff, physicians and other departments as needed.
• Manages staffing patterns with the assistance of Assistant Nurse Managers and the House Supervisors on a shift-to-shift basis.
• Follows policies and procedures. Participates in the Quality Improvement process and adheres to facility standards of behavior

 
What qualifications you will need:

• *Candidates must have an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, 3+ years of clinical hospital experience, and at least 1-2+ years of leadership experience… ideally Assistant Nurse Manager/Manager candidates (will consider Supervisor/Charge RN but they must be strong on phone interviews)

• Florida RN licensure required
• Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• A minimum of one (1) year management experience is preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
