Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)- Onawa IA
Location : Onawa IA 51040
Project Duration : Permanent / Full Time
Shift : M - F
Job Description:
• The LISW will play a vital role in supporting the mental and emotional well-being of individuals, families, and communities in a rural healthcare setting.
• This position involves conducting psychosocial assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to patients across the lifespan.
• As part of an integrated care team, the LISW will collaborate closely with primary care providers, nurses, and other behavioural health professionals to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to serving underserved populations and possess the clinical skills necessary to address a wide range of behavioral health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and adjustment disorders.
Requirement:
• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active LISW license in Iowa.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience working in rural or medically underserved settings is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
