Position Details:
Ultrasound Technologist- Albany, OR
Location                           : Albany, OR 97321
Duration                          : 13 weeks
Pay Rate                           : $50/hr-$55/hr
Shift                                   : Days/varied
 
Job Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. This role requires technical proficiency, patient-centered care, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
 
Responsibilities :

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining exams and positioning appropriately
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Identify normal and abnormal findings and document preliminary observations for physician review
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Follow infection control, radiation safety (as applicable), and departmental policies
• Assist radiologists and other providers during ultrasound-guided procedures as needed
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or repair needs
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities
• Maintain professional competence through continuing education

 
Requirements :

• ARDMS credentials (or equivalent) in Abdomen and OB/GYN specialties required upon submission.
• Current unencumbered Oregon license in Sonography required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider BLS required upon submission.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
