RN-OR Circulator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Room (OR) Circulator Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient care in the operating room, ensuring a safe and sterile environment, and supporting surgical procedures across multiple specialties. This role requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Verify patient identity, procedure, and surgical site in accordance with safety protocols.
- Monitor patient condition throughout surgery and respond to any changes promptly.
- Ensure all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are available and functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and patient care.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Perioperative Nursing (Peri-Op 101) Certification – Required
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) – Preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications – Required
- Strong experience working as an OR Circulator

Candidates must be independent and proficient in the following service lines:
- Urology
- Vascular
- Orthopedics
- Pain Management
- Spine
- Ophthalmology (Eyes)
- Plastics
Preferred Skills:
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety
